Job summary

Worley is seeking a Lead Static Engineer in Abu Dhabi to lead all static equipment engineering activities across FEED, EPC and detailed engineering phases for major oil and gas projects.

You will provide technical leadership for static equipment such as pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, and tanks, ensure compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes, and mentor a team of engineers and specialists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• 15+ years of relevant Oil & Gas or Petrochemical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of GCC region experience in a similar role.
• ADNOC & Offshore project experience preferred; experience on major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage static equipment engineering activities across FEED, EPC, and detailed engineering.
• Develop datasheets, specifications, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor documentation for static equipment.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards and applicable international codes and standards such as ASME, API, TEMA, and ASTM.
• Coordinate with Process, Piping, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Procurement disciplines to integrate static equipment requirements.
• Review and approve vendor drawings, calculations, manufacturing procedures, and inspection requirements.
• Support constructability reviews, value engineering studies, and cost optimization throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, constructability workshops, and technical meetings with clients, vendors and contractors.
