Job summary

Flatgigs is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to shape and scale our backend platform. You will lead architecture, mentor engineers, and collaborate across teams to deliver secure, scalable, cloud-native systems.

You will own end-to-end feature delivery, drive technical excellence, and partner with Product to align technical and business goals. This role emphasizes hands-on leadership and high-impact architectural decisions in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years backend engineering, 5+ with Node.js & TypeScript in production.
• Deep expertise in AWS services (Lambda, Cognito, S3, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS).
• Proven track record with serverless, microservices, event-driven systems.
• Strong background in API design, distributed systems, debugging.
• Leadership experience in architecture decisions and team mentorship.
