Job summary

Higher Colleges of Technology is seeking a Senior Specialist - Work Placement in Abu Dhabi to identify, promote, and deliver student work placement opportunities as part of their academic requirements. You will manage the placement database and coordinate with faculty, advisors, and outreach teams to ensure timely interviews and internships.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, fluency in English and Arabic, and at least four years of work placement experience, with strong MS Office skills for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required (e.g. Business Administration).
• Full English and Arabic proficiency are required.
• Intermediate computer literacy (MS Office) is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of annual plans to develop and expand employment opportunities for students within the campus.
• Support the development and communication of an up-to-date calendar for annual work placement events and career fairs.
• Liaise with faculty members, Academic Advisors and Outreach and Engagement for effective work placement implementation.
• Support the scheduling of on-campus recruitment events.
• Develop materials to increase awareness of placement opportunities with Outreach and Engagement.
• Assist with work experience Orientations and workshops.
• Monitor the placement of students during the academic year in compliance with schedules.
• Arrange interviews with students on behalf of employers in a timely manner.
• Provide guidance to students from initial interview to completion of the internship.
• Provide information and documentation to employers related to students.
• Maintain an up-to-date database covering employer and student information and work placement data.

The Senior Specialist - Work Placement is responsible to support with the identification promotion and delivery of work placement opportunities for students as part of their academic requirements Additionally the incumbent is responsible to maintain an up-to-date accurate and comprehensive database related to work placements for monitoring and reference purposes

Main Responsibilities

• Support with the development of annual plans to develop and expand employment opportunities for students within the campus
• Support with the development and communication of an up-to-date calendar for annual work placement events and career fairs organised
• Liaise with faculty members Academic Advisors and Outreach and Engagement for the effective and efficient implementation of work placement plans
• Support with the scheduling of on-campus recruitment events
• Support with the development of materials to increase awareness of and promote placement opportunities to students in collaboration with the Outreach and Engagement section
• Support with the implementation of work experience orientations and workshops
• Monitor the effective and efficient placement of students during the academic year in compliance with work placement schedules
• Arrange interviews with students on behalf of employers in a timely manner
• Provide continuous support and guidance to students from initial interview to the completion of the internship
• Provide necessary information and documentation to employers related to students
• Develop and maintain an up-to-date accurate and comprehensive database covering employer and student information as well as work placement-related
