Job summary

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking a Sous Chef – Marina Estates to lead the Culinary team at our upcoming UAE resort. The role requires strong leadership, 8+ years in a 5-star kitchen, and deep knowledge of Arabic and Indian cuisines.

You will oversee daily kitchen operations, menu development, and ensure top-quality presentation in a high-scale resort setting. Candidates should have a secondary school diploma (culinary qualification preferred) and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent qualification; culinary qualification preferred.
• 8+ years' experience in a 5-star kitchen environment with Arabic and Indian cuisine and leadership.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with staff and management.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to oversee inventory, schedules, and daily kitchen operations.
• Attention to detail to ensure food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and culinary standards.
• Monitor resource consumption and optimize equipment, ingredients and inventory use.
• Develop weekly set menus, monthly promotions, and seasonal offerings with the Executive Chef.
• Ensure dishes are prepared and presented according to recipes and standards.
• Lead, coach and support the kitchen team to maintain high performance and teamwork.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and HACCP, health and safety compliance.
