Job summary

CargoX, a UAE-based autonomous logistics company, seeks a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) to drive a responsive Web App used across its CoreConnect ecosystem. You will build an SSR-first Next.js-based frontend with TypeScript, implement PWA features, and shape data-driven, real-time views for operations on last-mile to long-haul routes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of professional software engineering experience focusing on TypeScript and Next.js/React.
• Hands-on experience with SSR-first architectures in Next.js, strong understanding of React Server Components and server/client rendering strategies.
• Experience managing high-frequency real-time data in the browser (WebSockets/SSE) and scalable state management, with robust offline-first sync.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, balance architecture with commercial objectives, and own the code lifecycle and frontend incident management.
• Focus on frontend security, QA (unit/integration/E2E), and frontend performance monitoring/observability.
• Excellent collaboration skills, proactive code reviews, and problem-solving with peers.
• Backend exposure: REST/GraphQL and microservice integration; Infra/DevOps: AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC.
• Industry experience in logistics/robotics or mission-control dashboards and GIS visualization.
• Excellent Business English communication.

CoreConnect is its fleet orchestration platform and the digital glue within its ecosystem of autonomous mobility in logistics. It gives organizations a unified platform to track, manage, and integrate autonomous platforms, connects with the wider operations ecosystem, and optimizes fleet utilization through data insights and reporting.

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) who prioritizes system reliability and product impact. You will be the driving force behind developing a responsive Web App following PWA standards that serves as the primary interface for the CoreConnect ecosystem. We value engineers who operate with a high degree of autonomy, technical pragmatism, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Decisions: Design, implement, and optimize a resilient, SSR-first Web App built on Next.js, making deliberate choices between React Server Components and client components and between server and client rendering strategies.
• You will ensure the PWA features an Optimistic UI and resilient data synchronization capabilities to guarantee data integrity in connectivity-challenged environments and optimize performance through server-side data fetching and bundle control.
• Feature Delivery: Develop data and map-driven interfaces providing real-time views of granular operations.
• Workflow Integration: Assist in creating visual UI components, such as a Workflow Designer, to dynamically define robot, order, and mission lifecycles.
• Technical Stewardship: Define and enforce standards for frontend performance, security, accessibility, and observability.
• Navigating Ambiguity: Comfortably translate high-level product goals into technical requirements and proactively collaborate with stakeholders to define scope and build iterative prototypes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Engineering Leadership, and DevSecOps to build high-quality solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
• Engineering Culture: Mentor engineers, lead rigorous code reviews, introduce process improvements, and foster a culture of operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience & Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or other relevant fields and 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a mandatory focus on TypeScript and Next.js or React.
• Next.js & Rendering Architecture: Hands‑on experience with SSR-first architectures in Next.js, a strong understanding of React Server Components and server/client rendering strategies, and a track record of optimizing performance via server-side data fetching and bundle control.
• Real‑Time Data & Integrations: Experience managing high-frequency, real‑time data streams in the browser (e.g., WebSockets, Server‑Sent Events) and implementing scalable state management. Proven ability to integrate complex APIs and build Optimistic UIs with robust offline‑first synchronization.
• Mindset & Execution: Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, balance architectural purity with commercial objectives (managing technical debt, shipping MVPs), and take full ownership of the code lifecycle and frontend incident management (root‑cause analysis and prevention of UI/client‑side failures).
• Security & Quality: A consistent focus on software quality and frontend security best practices (e.g., XSS prevention, secure token handling). Hands‑on experience in automated testing (unit, integration, and E2E testing suites) and setting up frontend performance monitoring and observability tooling.
• Collaboration: Ability to interpret technical requirements and deliver high-quality code with minimal defects. Proactively seeks feedback during code reviews and collaborates effectively with peers to solve technical blockers.
• Complementary Expertise:
• Backend Proficiency: Practical experience working with backend languages (Java, Kotlin, Python, Rust, Ruby, or Go) and developing or integrating with REST APIs or GraphQL services.
• Infrastructure & DevOps: Mastery of cloud environments, specifically AWS and Kubernetes (EKS), along with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Helm).
• Industry Experience: Direct background in logistics, robotics, fleet management systems or experience in developing mission‑control dashboards, high‑density or geospatial data (GIS) visualization.
• Communication: Fluency in Business English is a must.
