Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Senior Services Project Manager to lead controls retrofit turnkey projects across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia. You will oversee project execution, P&L, customer fulfillment, and subcontractors, while supporting growth, service expansion and ITO phase in collaboration with customers and field teams.

You will coordinate with commercial partners, manage risk, and drive project milestones with cross-functional teams to achieve successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience with GEV control product systems or similar control systems in commercial, services, engineering, project management or relevant functions.
• Proven experience in a customer facing role with business/commercial skills.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability and willingness to travel around 50% domestically and internationally, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Acting as primary customer contact throughout the site execution lifecycle with effective communication and coordinating with Sales staff.
• Managing multi-project portfolios (>10 projects) through lifecycle stages from PO receipt to commissioning and close out.
• Managing and reporting all financial aspects: budgets, costs, margin, invoicing and receivables.
• Developing and maintaining site execution schedules and project documentation across functions.
• Leveraging PM tools, processes and QMS to execute projects with high quality standards.

Job Description Summary

The Senior Services Project Manager leads controls retrofit turnkey projects across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, managing project execution, P&L, customer fulfillment, and subcontractors. The role also supports customer growth, service expansion, and the ITO phase by working closely with customers, field teams, and commercial partners.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Acting as primary customer contact throughout the site execution lifecycle with highly effective communication, handling project requirements, managing contracts, resolving specification issues; providing periodic updates; coordinating with Sales staff manager, negotiating scope changes; arranging customer site witnessed tests and coordinating field service activities with appropriate Service Manager.
• Managing multi-projects portfolio (> 10 projects simultaneously) through various stages of project lifecycle; from purchase order receipt up to commissioning and project close out
• Managing and reporting all financial aspects of project including budgets, costs, margin, invoicing, and receivable collection.
• Developing and maintaining site execution schedule, project documentation through collaboration across all functions, monitoring major control points and ensuring timely completion of critical project milestones
• Leveraging all existing and future Project Management tools, processes and QMS procedures to execute projects in most effective fashion and deliver with high quality standards.
• Facilitating project review meetings, project risk reviews and management plans, pre-mortem discussions and project close-out meetings.
• Providing daily engagement, leadership and direction to other functions within the project team to ensure an alignment on project goals and priorities to deliver a project success.
• Implementing continuous improvement for processes impacting the organization by developing and suggesting enhancements while maintaining productivity and efficiency.
  
• Accountable for project progress updates to key stakeholders including timely identification and communication of project risks and opportunities to management teams.
• Influencing decision making and problem solving in cross-functional organization while driving inclusive culture and win-win solutions.
• Own the P&L for the assigned job, customer order and fulfillment, identifying growth opportunities and driving revenue, margin, billing, and cash collection performance
• Own the development of service proposals by providing, labor, materials estimate proposal language, subcontractor and sub vendor scope, tooling, logistics, and conducting risk assessments.
• Be responsible for leading and coaching multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural teams consisting of GEV personnel, contingent workers, craft labor, subcontractors and sub vendors .
• Build trusting relationships and collaborate effectively with senior-level customer and supplier management on commercial, execution, technical, and compliance matters
• Provide subject matter expertise (SME) on controls retrofit projects and post-sales

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university
• Minimum of 10 years of experience with GEV control product systems (Mark VI, Mark VIe, EX2100/ EX2100e etc.) or similar control systems in commercial, services, engineering, project management and/or relevant functions
• Proven experience in a customer facing role with business/ commercial skills
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Ability and willingness to travel around 50% domestically and internationally, as needed
