Role Overview

Otis is growing and we are recruiting a Service Sales Engineer to cover Abu Dhabi and Al Ain territory and reporting to the Service Branch Manager. The main goal of the role is to achieve sales growth through developing a customer prospect pipeline focusing on winning new maintenance contracts with additional responsibility for selling incremental repair projects.

On a typical day you will :
  • Manage a portfolio of elevator units through maintaining good working relationships with existing customers
  • Prepare estimates and issue quotations for additional repairs/upgradating of units and modernization.
  • Liaise with clients to hunt new client negotiate maintenance contract for non-Otis recoveries and modernization ensuring all potential client risks are addressed under the renewal terms.
  • Ensure critical actions on all contracts including SPL special contracts are captured to minimize Otis contractual risk.
  • Execute sales strategies to recover lost units modernization and actively pursue clients to ensure unit recovery on favorable terms for Otis.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients by regularly engaging with key contacts and understanding their needs.
  • Coordinate with the Aftermarket and Service Department to ensure that the terms and conditions of all maintenance/repair/modernization agreements are implemented.
  • Serve as primary contact for timely resolution of customer needs surrounding inquiries.
  • Develop new customers via cold calling networking bids and tenders.
  • Develop your own sales strategy to achieve sales targets.
  • Use Otis sales tools to effectively track opportunities pipeline and forecast sales results.
  • Conduct sales negotiations and close deals.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members including other sales representatives and field colleagues.
Qualifications:
  • You have a business or technical degree or have completed training as a technician or technical business administrator and 5 years of prior work experience.
  • You have strong experience in the sale of technical service agreements requiring consultation.
  • You have a strong customer and service orientation including excellent interpersonal skills.
  • You are characterized by a high level of commitment and reliability.
  • You are target focused with the ability to work at pace in a demanding complex corporate organization.
