We are looking for a Senior Service Engineer to ensure complex installation, maintenance, and repair of customer-installed Foxboro DCS Systems. The role involves identifying new opportunities during customer site visits to promote service growth and coordinating knowledge transfer within the Services Field domain. The engineer may report to the Service Delivery Manager regarding potential commercial risks or opportunities and customer service needs, including evaluation and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Provide services to assigned customers and perform site activities under the supervision of the Service Delivery Manager.
- Develop and review project documentation and deliverables, ensuring compliance with customer standards and project specifications.
- Maintain advanced knowledge of hardware and software parts, design requirements, and system sizing.
- Be fully familiar with WW Historian on Foxboro, CHMI, AIM, OPC, FDC / FCP / FDSI, and application development including control strategies, database processing, HMI, and third-party communications.
- Perform system testing, staging, pre-FAT, FAT, and integrated FAT.
- Verify quality of documents, drawings, and applications; troubleshoot system issues using tools like DiagRead, Tel file, Wire Shark, Ferret files, GCS, and firmware updates.
- Guide Service Engineers and perform site surveys, installation verification, loop testing, start-up, commissioning, and SAT.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and company procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Service Engineer in SE or 12 years in related industries, primarily with Foxboro DCS.
- Deep domain knowledge of Oil & Gas, Pipelines, Gas & Water Plants, and international standards like IEC, ISA, API.
- Strong understanding of permit-to-work, HSE, safety guards, and site pass procedures.
- Excellent communication, technical writing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with P&ID, IOs, standards, and plant process control systems.
- Knowledge of hazardous area requirements and cybersecurity awareness.
