A leading company in the lighting sector is seeking a Sales Engineer based in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will drive strategic market development, manage key projects, and maintain strong customer relationships. This position requires a technical foundation, robust sales skills, and a customer-focused attitude, ideal for someone keen on making impactful contributions.
Participation in the turnover and margin achievement process, building up and managing projects within his/her area/region.
Proposes pricing and sales strategies for his/her area/region and main business segments to support long-term profitability.
Strategic development and marketing of product segments
Analyzes territory/market potential, competition, and tracks sales & status reports.
Engages in continuous business planning, seeking relevant projects and partners.
Supports and follows up on the quotation process through face-to-face and online negotiations.
Establishes, supports, develops, and maintains positive business relationships, company reputation, and customer relationships.
Provides comprehensive technical advice, training, and support to customers in the area/region.
Collaborates proactively with back office, service, and development departments.
Tracks and explores new markets
Handles administration and reporting, including monthly reports, forecasts, CRM updates, according to KPIs and Performance Evaluation System.
Understands customer strategy in KSA, defines account strategies to drive profitable growth, and manages execution, including payments, deliveries, and project handover.
Manages complex dynamics within the customer ecosystem—cross-functional teams, third-party influencers, JV partners, and alliances—engaging with stakeholders for project opportunities.
Qualifications
Technical education with a commercial background or vice versa.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in lighting or related sectors (competition, wholesale, pre-supplier).
Driving license required; must have a car for daily business needs.
Languages: English (B1/B2) and local language.
Strong selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
Excellent internal/external networking skills.
Open to strategic approaches.
Prioritization, time management, and organization skills
Good presentation skills, able to establish long-term relationships at sales levels.
Customer-focused attitude.
Self-motivated and target-driven.
Strong soft skills in customer relationship management.
