Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Safety Health & Environment Specialist IV to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of comprehensive SHE programs across the organization. This senior role requires a Bachelor's in OSH or related field, CSP or NEBOSH, 7+ years' experience, and the ability to drive risk assessment, training, audits, and regulatory compliance.

Excellent leadership and English fluency are essential for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science or related field.
• CSP or equivalent international certification.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in safety health and environmental management.
• Experience in developing and implementing SHE policies.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001/ISO 14001.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain SHE policies, procedures and programs.
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Design and deliver safety training programs.
• Perform safety audits and inspections.
• Analyze SHE data and prepare management reports.
• Manage SHE-related projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate with departments to integrate SHE considerations into operations.
• Stay current with UAE labour laws and international safety standards.
