AECOM is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Abu Dhabi to lead mechanical works for infrastructure projects, including pump stations and lifting stations. You will supervise installation, review submissions, coordinate with disciplines and ensure quality and safety throughout construction.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and about 10 years of relevant UAE infrastructure experience.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in mechanical works for infrastructure and construction projects.
• Strong experience in pump stations, lifting stations, pumping systems and associated mechanical works.
• Good knowledge of pumps, valves, pipework, mechanical equipment and related systems.
• Experience in installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
• Experience in reviewing technical submissions, shop drawings, method statements, ITPs, RFIs and equipment submittals.
• Experience in construction supervision and coordination with contractors and other disciplines.
• UAE infrastructure and Authority experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination, technical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and monitor mechanical works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs and project requirements.
• Supervise installation and execution of mechanical works for pump stations, lifting stations, drainage pumping systems and associated infrastructure.
• Review contractor submissions including shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs and equipment submittals.
• Monitor installation, testing, commissioning and completion of pumps, lifting station equipment, mechanical systems, pipework, valves and related equipment.
• Coordinate mechanical works with civil, electrical, wet utilities, structural and other disciplines to ensure interfaces and timely execution.
• Monitor site progress, quality, workmanship and compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and review inspection requests to ensure works align with documents.
• Review testing and commissioning procedures and witness tests for pumps, lifting stations and mechanical systems.
• Identify technical issues, risks and delays and coordinate corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance to the project team and Contractor on mechanical matters.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our infrastructure project team in Abu Dhabi with strong experience in pump stations lifting stations and associated mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor mechanical works to ensure compliance with approved drawings specifications method statements ITPs and project requirements.
• Supervise the installation and execution of mechanical works for pump stations lifting stations drainage pumping systems and associated infrastructure.
• Review and assess contractor technical submissions including shop drawings material submittals method statements RFIs technical proposals and equipment submittals.
• Monitor the installation testing commissioning and completion of pumps lifting station equipment mechanical systems pipework valves and associated equipment.
• Coordinate mechanical works with civil electrical wet utilities structural and other disciplines to ensure proper interfaces and timely execution.
• Monitor site progress quality workmanship and compliance with approved project requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and review inspection requests to ensure mechanical works are completed in accordance with approved documents.
• Review and monitor mechanical equipment installation alignment connections testing and commissioning.
• Review testing and commissioning procedures and witness relevant tests for pumps lifting stations and associated mechanical systems.
• Identify technical issues construction risks and potential delays and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the project team and Contractor on mechanical engineering matters.
• Coordinate with the Contractor Authorities stakeholders and other project disciplines to resolve technical and construction-related issues.
• Review the Contractors proposed equipment materials and mechanical systems for compliance with project specifications and approved requirements.
• Monitor the Contractors compliance with approved construction methods quality requirements and project specifications.
• Maintain proper records of inspections technical matters progress testing commissioning and construction activities.
• Participate in technical progress and coordination meetings with the Contractor and project stakeholders.
• Support the Resident Engineer and Project Management team in the successful delivery of the works.
• Ensure health safety environmental and quality requirements are properly implemented throughout the construction activities.

• Strong experience in pump stations lifting stations pumping systems and associated mechanical works.
