Mechanical Infrastructure Scope

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will supervise mechanical works across pump stations, lifting stations, drainage facilities, and associated infrastructure. The position requires close coordination with civil, electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA disciplines while maintaining compliance with approved technical requirements throughout construction, commissioning, and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage mechanical works for pump stations, lifting stations, drainage facilities, and infrastructure projects.
• Oversee installation of pumps, valves, pipework, actuators, penstocks, screens, mechanical equipment, and associated systems.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, ITPs, RFIs, and other technical submissions.
• Coordinate mechanical interfaces with civil, electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA systems.
• Supervise testing, commissioning, performance testing, and final acceptance of mechanical systems.
• Work with contractors, suppliers, designers, and project stakeholders to resolve technical and construction issues.
• Verify that mechanical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, applicable standards, and project quality requirements.
• Support project handover and closeout activities, including O and M manuals, as-built drawings, testing records, and asset documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor 's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience with pump stations and lifting stations.
• Practical knowledge of pumps, valves, pipework, mechanical equipment, and associated systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with infrastructure contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Good understanding of QA-QC, HSE, technical documentation, and construction procedures.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• UAE-GCC infrastructure experience is preferred.

Project Delivery and Handover

This position extends beyond construction supervision into testing, commissioning, final acceptance, and project closeout. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will help ensure installed systems are properly tested and documented, while supporting completion of O and M manuals, as-built information, testing records, and asset documentation required for handover.
