Job summary

Egis is seeking a highly skilled Senior Resident Engineer to join our Dubai team. You will oversee on-site engineering activities for large‑scale high‑rise construction projects, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, quality standards and safety regulations on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 20 years total experience, with at least 10 years as Resident/Senior Resident Engineer on high-rise projects.
• PE license preferred or any equivalent.
• Contract management and oversight skills required.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, quality control, and safety.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong project management and leadership abilities; able to deliver on time and on budget.
• Knowledge of Abu Dhabi/UAE building codes.
• Fluency in English; Arabic a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all on-site engineering activities for large-scale high-rise construction projects.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Resident Engineer to join our team in Dubai. As a key member of our building construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of on-site engineering activities for large-scale construction project.

• Lead and coordinate all on-site engineering activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project timelines
• Review and approve construction methodologies, work plans, and technical submittals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience as Resident Engineer/Senior Resident Engineer, with a focus on highrise projects. Minimum total years of experience is 20 years.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred or any equivalent.
• Contract management and oversight practicing skills is a must.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, quality control processes, and safety regulations
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
• In-depth understanding of the construction industry and local building codes in Abu Dhabi, UAE
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Strong leadership and communication abilities, with experience in managing and mentoring teams
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
