Job Description
SENIOR RESERVOIR ENGINEER (ONSHORE BASED)
- Technical competencies : Strong experience in reservoir management and field development integrated subsurface studies and reservoir simulation. Experience with Enhance Oil Recovery mechanisms is highly appreciated.
 
Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of reservoir management activities including field development performance evaluation data acquisition strategic surveillance and monitoring master plans to ensure optimal development.
 - Pattern balancing to ensure efficient production and injection process to maximize vertical and lateral sweep efficiency. Lead design and participate in integrated field reviews and field development plans (RMP considering the current wells and planned infill wells).
 - Design and lead the implementation of project surveillance programs including pressure transient surveys, tracer surveys, interference testing, observation well placement and cased hole logging programs.
 - Recommend reservoir areas and programs for pilot studies of various oil recovery enhancement techniques. Present fully justified proposals for field trials of various techniques such as water or gas injection methods, acid fractures or additional performance. Monitor results over scheduled trial life and report findings and recommendations to team members outlining estimated impact of enhancement on the field or reservoir.
 - Conduct reservoir simulations studies designed to define optimum full field reservoir development plans (primary secondary tertiary depletion scenarios including EOR).
 - Work within an interdisciplinary team to build and quality control the dynamic model. Integrate SCAL core analyses, PVT data and geological models during the development of integrated models for full field development plans.
 - Ensure the quality traceability and reporting of the reservoir simulation studies to ensure the sustainability of the reservoir models. Conduct analytical and phenomenological studies if necessary as alternative justification to presented studies.
 - General responsibility to respect company HSE guidelines and practices with a strong focus to lead environment and community initiatives in the areas where the company operates.
 
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Geosciences and / or Reservoir Engineering.
 - 10 years experience in Reservoir Management and Reservoir Simulation.
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English language.
 - Proficiency in Windows XP Microsoft Office package (Planning etc). Curiosity in IT toolset.
 
Starting Date
As soon as possible. Period required: One year with possible extensions. Work Location: Onshore (Abu Dhabi Main Offices). Reporting to Subsurface Director.
