Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Senior Research Scientist in the UAE to lead the development of advanced machine learning models focused on financial behaviour. You will work with large-scale datasets to develop models supporting credit risk, repayment prediction, segmentation, fraud detection and early-warning signals.

The role requires expertise in transformers, representation learning and time-series modelling, plus strong Python and SQL skills.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in ML, CS, statistics, mathematics or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with sequence data and time-series modelling.
• Expertise in transformers and representation learning.
• Proficient Python and SQL; experience with large-scale data platforms.

• Experience with large-scale data platforms such as PySpark, Databricks, Snowflake or BigQuery.
• Experience working with complex, real-world datasets.
• Experience in credit risk, financial ML, fraud detection, alternative-data scoring, multi-modal data or model governance.
