Job summary

Azizi Developments – Azizi Industries, the manufacturing arm – is seeking an experienced Senior Rebar Detailer to lead the rebar detailing team in our Dubai fabrication facility. You will prepare and check detailed reinforcement shop drawings and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), coordinating with production and project teams to meet project requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in rebar detailing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and rebar detailing software such as RebarCAD/CADS RC.
• Strong understanding of structural drawings and reinforcement standards.
• Attention to detail and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed reinforcement shop drawings for beams, columns, slabs, foundations, walls, and other structural elements.
• Prepare accurate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), cutting lists, and reinforcement quantity calculations.
• Review structural drawings and identify discrepancies, clashes, and missing information before detailing.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, project teams, production teams, and site personnel to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure reinforcement detailing complies with project specifications, approved drawings, and relevant codes and standards.
• Check and verify drawings prepared by junior detailers before submission.
• Coordinate with production and fabrication teams to ensure accurate cutting, bending, and installation of reinforcement steel.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure timely submission of shop drawings.
• Support and guide junior rebar detailers and assist in meeting project deadlines.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Rebar Detailer to lead the rebar detailing team within our steel/rebar fabrication facility. The role will be responsible for preparing and checking accurate rebar shop drawings and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), coordinating with production teams, and ensuring drawings are prepared in line with project requirements and fabrication capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed reinforcement shop drawings for beams, columns, slabs, foundations, walls, and other structural elements.
• Prepare accurate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), cutting lists, and reinforcement quantity calculations.
• Review structural drawings and identify discrepancies, clashes, and missing information before detailing.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, project teams, production teams, and site personnel to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure reinforcement detailing complies with project specifications, approved drawings, and relevant codes and standards.
• Check and verify drawings prepared by junior detailers before submission.
• Incorporate revisions and comments from consultants and clients.
• Coordinate with production and fabrication teams to ensure accurate cutting, bending, and installation of reinforcement steel.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure timely submission of shop drawings.
• Support and guide junior rebar detailers and assist in meeting project deadlines.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in rebar detailing, preferably in a steel factory, rebar fabrication facility, or construction company.
• Strong knowledge of reinforcement detailing, BBS preparation, and reinforcement steel fabrication processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant rebar detailing software such as RebarCAD, CADS RC, or equivalent.
• Good understanding of structural drawings, reinforcement standards, and construction practices.
• Experience reviewing drawings and coordinating with production and engineering teams.
• Strong attention to detail, technical problem-solving, and coordination skills.

Willingness to relocate to Dubai, UAE and work in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• UAE/GCC experience in rebar detailing or steel fabrication.
• Experience in a steel factory or rebar processing environment.
• Previous experience checking drawings and guiding junior detailers.
