Job summary

EDGE is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain embedded software for aerospace and UAV systems in Abu Dhabi. You will work on real-time, safety-critical software, integrate with hardware sensors and actuators, and implement control algorithms while ensuring high reliability and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5–7+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and embedded systems.
• Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, VxWorks, QNX).
• Knowledge of hardware-software integration and communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN).
• Familiarity with aerospace safety standards such as DO-178C and DO-254.
• Experience with Git and software debugging tools.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
