Azizi Developments is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage QTO and BOQ preparation for fit-out projects through tender and pre-contract stages. You will verify BOQ accuracy, support cost estimates, and assist in tender submissions with subcontractor coordination.

Qualifications

• Verify and validate BOQ accuracy before submission.
• Support estimation by analyzing materials, labor and subcontractor costs.
• Assist in cost analyses during negotiations with clients.

To manage all quantity surveying activities for fit-out projects during tender and pre-contract stages, ensuring accurate quantity take-offs, cost control, BOQ preparation, and commercial evaluation of project requirements to support competitive and profitable bids.

Responsibilities:

Quantity Take-Off & BOQ Preparation

• Perform detailed quantity take-off (QTO) from tender drawings, specifications, and design documents.
• Prepare accurate and comprehensive BOQs for fit-out works including:
  • Interior finishes
  • Joinery works
  • Ceiling, partitions, flooring
  • MEP coordination elements
• Verify and validate BOQ accuracy before submission.

Cost Analysis & Estimation Support

• Support Senior Estimation Engineer in preparing cost estimates and pricing.
• Analyze material, labor, and subcontractor costs.
• Assist in preparing unit rates for various construction activities.
• Identify cost risks, discrepancies, and scope gaps in tender documents.

Tender Support

• Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Assist in preparing tender submissions and commercial breakdowns.
• Support clarification requests (RFIs) during tender stage.
• Evaluate client/consultant changes and their cost impact.

Subcontractor & Supplier Coordination

• Obtain and analyze quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Compare rates and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with procurement for market pricing updates.
• Support selection of cost-effective vendors.

Value Engineering & Cost Optimization

• Identify value engineering opportunities to reduce project cost.
• Propose alternative materials or methods without compromising quality.
• Support estimation team in improving bid competitiveness.
• Assist in cost analysis during negotiations with clients.
• Support preparation of variation cost proposals when required.
• Maintain historical cost data for future benchmarking.
