Job summary

Guildhall is recruiting for a multinational main contractor delivering large-scale infrastructure projects in the UAE. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will own the full commercial cycle on assigned packages, from measurement and valuations to variations and subcontractor accounts, on a unit-rate remeasurement contract from mobilisation.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years' QS experience in infrastructure, aviation or major civil works.
• Hands-on experience running unit-rate (remeasurement) contracts on large projects.
• Strong FIDIC knowledge and contract administration experience.
• Track record managing interim valuations, BOQ administration and final accounts.
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Run commercial delivery for assigned packages on a live infrastructure project in the UAE.
• Administer unit-rate (remeasurement) contracts from mobilisation through completion.
• Prepare and verify quantity measurements and interim payment applications.
• Evaluate variations, claims and change orders as work progresses.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, payments and final accounts.
• Produce monthly cost reports, forecasts and commercial performance reviews.
• Support procurement, tender evaluation and contractual dispute resolution.
• Mentor junior quantity surveyors within the commercial team.

About the Role Guildhall is running the search for a multinational main contractor delivering large-scale infrastructure projects across the Gulf, as it builds out its commercial team for a major project in the UAE. This Senior Quantity Surveyor will own the full commercial cycle on assigned packages measurement, valuations, variations and subcontractor accounts on a unit-rate remeasurement contract from early mobilisation. The hire comes as the project ramps up, with quantities and payments about to move at volume. It's a build-phase seat with real ownership, not a desk job reviewing other people's numbers.
