About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of quantity surveying for our construction projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with industry standards.

  • Prepare and analyse cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and cost analyses for tenders and contracts
  • Manage contract administration, including change orders, variations, and claims
  • Perform value engineering to optimise project costs without compromising quality
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success
  • Monitor and report on project financial performance, including cash flow forecasts
  • Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure favourable terms and pricing
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and international best practices in quantity surveying
  • Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors in the team
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures for all quantity surveying activities
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in quantity surveying
What do we need from you
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional certification from a recognised body (e.g., RICS, CIOB)
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on large-scale construction projects
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Causeway) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • In-depth knowledge of construction practices and methodologies
  • Thorough understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and local construction regulations in the UAE
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills and capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working in the Middle East construction industry is highly desirable
  • Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic would be advantageous
