Job summary

SGS is seeking an experienced QC Inspector – Welding & Structural for offshore projects. You will perform welding and structural inspections during fabrication, assembly, and installation, ensuring compliance with WPS, ITPs, drawings, and project specs.

You will monitor and witness NDT activities, coordinate with NDT contractors, and ensure offshore topside and jacket fabrication meets AWS D1.1, ASME and EEMUA 158 standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years total experience, including 5+ years post-CSWIP / AWS.
• Proven offshore topside & jacket fabrication experience.
• CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 certificates / AWS (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of welding inspection, structural fabrication & NDT coordination.
• Familiar with offshore codes and standards (AWS D1.1, EEMUA 158, ASME).

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and structural inspections during fabrication, assembly and installation.
• Verify compliance with WPS, ITPs, drawings and project specifications.
• Monitor and witness NDT activities and coordinate with NDT contractors.
• Inspect offshore topside and jacket fabrication, including fit-up and dimensional checks.
