Overview
We are looking for a QA Tester to take responsibility for testing our e-commerce platform and internal admin panel. The tester will ensure that all functionalities, integrations, security, performance, and responsiveness are working smoothly before release.
Responsibilities
Functional & Responsiveness Testing
- Perform manual testing across the e-commerce website (desktop, tablet, and mobile) and the admin panel.
 - Test user journeys : browsing products, search, filtering, product details, cart, checkout, registration, login, and order history.
 - Validate responsiveness across different devices, screen sizes, and browsers.
 - Check UI / UX consistency, layout stability, and mobile-first usability.
 - Test third-party integrations such as shipping APIs, email / SMS notifications, analytics, and OTP.
 
Security Testing
- Test for vulnerabilities such as XSS, SQL Injection, CSRF, access control issues, brute-force attacks.
 - Validate secure login, authentication, and password reset flows.
 - Ensure sensitive data (passwords, tokens, personal data) is stored and transmitted securely.
 - Report security flaws with detailed severity levels.
 
Performance & Scalability Testing
- Conduct load and stress testing to ensure the platform supports 200k+ users / month.
 - Measure performance metrics: page load time, API response time, and time-to-interactive.
 - Test server performance under peak traffic, ensuring no crashes or major slowdowns.
 - Identify bottlenecks in backend APIs, database queries, or frontend rendering.
 - Monitor and report downtime incidents, including duration, root cause, and recovery.
 - Simulate poor network conditions (e.g., 3G) and high concurrent usage (1000+ users).
 
Reporting & Collaboration
- Document and report bugs with clear reproduction steps and severity.
 - Re-test fixed issues and confirm resolutions.
 - Provide feedback on usability, responsiveness, security, and performance.
 - Collaborate with developers and the project manager to ensure high-quality releases.
 
Qualifications
- 4-7 years of professional experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on e-commerce platforms.
 - Experience in manual QA testing (e-commerce experience).
 - Strong knowledge of functional, responsiveness, security, and performance testing.
 - Familiar with tools such as Postman, Browser DevTools, Jira / Trello, JMeter, OWASP ZAP, or Lighthouse.
 - Ability to write clear bug reports and maintain structured test documentation.
 - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
