Job summary

DESCON ENGINEERING,UAE BU seeks a seasoned QC Engineer to oversee quality control across construction, fabrication, installation and testing for oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. Ensure compliance with ITPs, procedures and international standards.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 12–15 years of QA/QC on EPC or petrochemical projects with familiarity to ASME, API, ASTM, AWS, ISO 9001 and related codes. GCC/Middle East experience preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's/Diploma in engineering or related discipline.
12–15 years of QA/QC experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Construction.
Strong knowledge of QA/QC principles, procedures and documentation.
Experience with ITPs, Method Statements, NCR management, and quality audits.

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor QC activities per project specs, ITPs and standards.
Inspect and verify construction, fabrication, installation and testing work.
Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, QA/QC and client reps for inspections.
Review inspection reports, test certificates and vendor documentation.
Raise and close NCRs, SORs and corrective actions.
Maintain quality records and project quality docs.
Support site activities during commissioning and handover.
Promote HSE and quality compliance on site.
