Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a meticulous QA Engineer to design and execute test strategies across web, mobile, and backend systems. You will ensure high product quality through manual and automated testing, collaborating with engineering and product teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities include writing and executing test cases, building automated suites for UI and API, tracking defects, and aligning acceptance criteria with engineers and product owners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA/Test Engineering experience across web and mobile applications.
• Experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar).
• Solid understanding of API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum testing practices and defect-tracking tools (Jira).
• Basic scripting/programming for writing automated tests.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases across web, mobile, and API layers.
• Build and maintain automated test suites for UI, API, and regression testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution using a defect-tracking tool.
• Collaborate with engineers and product owners to define clear, testable acceptance criteria.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and release readiness reviews.
• Perform performance, security, and cross-browser/cross-device compatibility testing as required.
• Maintain and continuously improve test plans, test data, and QA documentation.
• Execute regression test cycles and smoke tests ahead of each release.
• Support root-cause analysis of production defects in collaboration with engineering.
• Advocate for quality best practices and shift-left testing across the engineering team.
• Prepare the UAT alongside the BA and Dev Team.
