Job summary

Global Software Solutions Group in Dubai seeks a Senior Python Engineer to design, build and run scalable backend systems powering data driven applications. You will develop secure, high-performance APIs and microservices, own data transformation pipelines from ingestion to delivery, and ensure production readiness.

Responsibilities include RESTful APIs, Asyncio, OAuth/JWT, SQL and NoSQL, ETL pipelines with Spark/Kafka/Hadoop, CI/CD, and collaboration with frontend teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Python backend development.
• Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI and/or Flask, plus Django knowledge.
• Proven experience with asyncio and concurrent programming.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture.
• Experience securing APIs with OAuth, JWT and API gateways.
• Strong SQL skills and ORM experience (SQLAlchemy or Django ORM).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra).
• Experience building ETL or data transformation pipelines.
• Familiarity with Spark, Kafka, Hadoop and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Proficiency in Shell scripting and Git; strong collaboration skills.

• Design and maintain scalable internal web frameworks; collaborate with frontend teams.

• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and ORMs; optimize queries and schemas.
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines; work with Spark, Kafka, Hadoop.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment; write tests and document code.
