Job summary

Tanqeeb is hiring a Senior Python Engineer in Dubai for a stealth fintech startup building an AI-powered trading system. You will join the founding team in a hybrid Dubai setup and own backend development from day one.

We seek 6+ years of Python experience, startup mindset, and strong cloud knowledge (AWS/GCP/Azure). Experience in quantitative trading and real-world market projects is highly valued; UAE residency is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Python development experience in a fintech/trading context.
• Startup mindset with experience building from scratch (0-1).
• Strong cloud knowledge (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Commercial experience in quant/trading roles; fintech exposure is a plus.
• Resident in UAE or already based in UAE is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the build of an AI-powered trading system from scratch.
• Collaborate with the founding team to shape the product roadmap.
• Optimize backend systems for low-latency trading.
• Contribute to data pipelines and model integration as the product evolves.

Python Engineer | Fintech / Trading | Dubai (Hybrid)

Salary between 25k AED - 30k AED per month

We've partnered with an early-stage stealth mode fintech startup (with great funding) that are building a fully automated/AI powered trading system for real world prediction markets (think Polymarket but with a real B2B focus).

This company are brand new to Dubai and they're now building their team from scratch - hring Senior Python Engineers to join their founding team here in the region. To put it bluntly, these roles would be perfect for those of you that are:

• Passionate about the world of trading/fintech.
• Real 0-1 builders.
• Excited about joining a company on day one of their journey.

Here’s what they're looking for:

• 6+ years' commercial experience with Python (alongside AI coding tools like Windsurf or Cursor).
• Startup mindset/experience and comfortable building from scratch (0-1 building).
• A strong understanding of either AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Proven commercial experience in a quant / trading role, although fintech experience more generally also works.
• Someone who's already here within the UAE (ideally).
