Job summary

Astra ProMed in Dubai is seeking a highly qualified Specialist Pulmonologist to join our leading healthcare facility. The role focuses on respiratory medicine, diagnostics, and complex care, with scope for advanced procedures and multidisciplinary collaboration.

You will diagnose and manage conditions from COPD to sleep apnea, perform PFTs and bronchoscopy where credentialed, and develop individualized treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Specialist Pulmonologist with extensive experience in respiratory medicine and diagnostics.
• Postgraduate training in Internal Medicine with Pulmonology/subspecialty.
• Board certification or equivalent specialist qualification.
• Internationally recognized qualifications are highly desirable.
• 3–5 years of post-specialization experience preferred, with DHA eligibility in Dubai.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage asthma, COPD, pneumonia, interstitial lung diseases and other respiratory conditions.
• Evaluate and treat chronic cough, breathlessness, infections and respiratory disorders.
• Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests, spirometry and related assessments.
• Manage sleep-related breathing disorders including obstructive sleep apnea.
• Perform bronchoscopy and other pulmonary procedures where credentialed.
• Interpret chest imaging and arterial blood gases to guide therapy.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for acute and chronic respiratory diseases.
• Support patients requiring oxygen therapy and respiratory support within clinical privileges.
• Collaborate with intensivists, cardiologists, radiologists and respiratory therapists.
• Educate patients on smoking cessation, inhaler techniques and pulmonary rehabilitation.
