Job summary

Black & Grey HR partners with a UAE-based Commercial Real Estate company to recruit a Projects Director. This role oversees all design and construction work-streams for new developments and asset upgrades, leading the Development & Projects department to deliver on time and within budget.

You will partner with the CEO to shape strategy, translate it into actionable plans, and ensure alignment with brand standards and operational specifications across all assets in the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• Master’s degree strongly preferred.
• Professional certification (e.g., PMP) highly regarded.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in design and construction management (GCC experience preferred).
• Proven track record delivering complex retail or real estate development projects.
• Vendor negotiations and relationship management experience.
• Forward-looking strategic, managerial, and operational methodologies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of UAE regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead Development & Projects department to manage end-to-end project activities.
• Oversee design and construction work-streams for new developments and asset enhancements.
• Partner with CEO to align strategy and departmental plans.
• Translate strategy into annual operational plans and targets.
• Ensure projects reflect brand identity and meet operational specs.
• Enforce compliance with local laws and international standards.
• Mentor, coach, and develop the project team.
• Drive Agile and Lean practices to improve efficiency.
