Job description

Overall responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support to the Project Manager in various Project Management activities. Liaise with the main contractor and end-user PMT personnel, acting as a focal point for Project Management issues.
  • Identify and resolve project technical issues, coordinate with engineering consultants, and establish communication between the project team, external suppliers, subcontractors, and client/end-user focal personnel.
  • Manage and coordinate daily project activities.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, updating, and implementation of the Project Execution Plan (PEP).
  • Attend weekly, monthly, and other progress review meetings (internal and with clients) and assist in preparing Minutes of Meeting. Follow up on MOM and incorporate client comments to close ongoing concerns.
  • Coordinate support to subcontractors on technical and contractual issues, facilitating face-to-face resolution of key issues.
  • Ensure project execution aligns with schedule, contractual terms, and client technical procedures.
  • Coordinate with the project management team and team leaders for planning, scheduling, and executing work in engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning to meet project objectives.
  • Coordinate with engineering consultants to ensure design basis is communicated and relevant MRs are issued on time to procurement, resolving issues for timely purchase orders.
  • Support the Project Manager in implementing project procedures and deliverables.
  • Participate in preparing high-level scope of work for subcontracts, ensuring scope creep is avoided.
  • Ensure technical, schedule, risk, and commercial evaluations are performed with qualified personnel, and that actions are pursued and documented.
  • Develop new tools and management techniques for successful project delivery.
  • Ensure mobilization and resource planning meet project requirements.
  • Help team members understand project strategy and priorities.
  • Support in variation claims, EOT, and contractual positions.
  • Assist the Contracts, Cost, and Subcontracts team in evaluating design deviations and variations.
  • Coordinate with engineering to ensure timely issuance of IFC drawings and resolve engineering issues during construction.
  • Identify construction constraints and facilitate obstacle resolution.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure material delivery and resolve related issues.
  • Monitor project milestones and coordinate with project control to address potential delays.
  • Support commissioning activities for smooth startup and resolution of issues.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Familiarity with engineering, procurement, and contracting in power and infrastructure projects.

Additional Information :

Experience Requirements:

  • HSE compliance and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
