Job summary

Ramboll3 in Dubai seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead end-to-end data center cooling design and lifecycle ownership. You will drive concepts, strategy, and detailed designs for high-density AI cooling, including DLC, CDU, and chilled water systems, with BIM coordination and multi-discipline collaboration.

You will mentor engineers, oversee CFD studies and BMS/EMS integration considerations, and ensure compliance with UAE standards.

Qualifications

BE / BTech / ME / MTech in Mechanical Engineering
Professional registration as Mechanical Engineer or equivalent
Experience with data center cooling systems is highly desirable

Responsibilities

Act as technical lead for mission-critical DC cooling design reviews, strategy discussions, and RFP responses
Engage with client SMEs and cross-discipline teams to drive design intent and risk analysis
Own design documentation including Basis of Design, DBR, and technical narratives
Lead BIM coordination and multi-discipline model reviews (LOD350)
Coordinate with Electrical, Structural, Architectural and Fire Protection teams during concept to IFC
Provide construction support, site inspections, and commissioning guidance
Mentor engineers and establish design standards and best practices
Lead design quality and risk management across the team
