Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced PMC Senior Planning Engineer in the Abu Dhabi area to lead project planning, scheduling, progress measurement, forecasting, and reporting across the project lifecycle for major energy sector initiatives.

You will deliver accurate schedule analysis, risk assessments, and performance reporting while mentoring junior planners and aligning with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering related field.
• 15+ years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and controls in EPC/PMC/oil & gas sectors.
• Extensive hands-on experience in developing and monitoring complex project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage integrated project schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
• Establish baselines, milestones, WBS, and schedule control procedures.
• Monitor progress, identify variances, and perform critical path analysis.
• Prepare recovery plans and mitigation strategies for delays.
• Review contractor schedules and progress reports for alignment and performance.
• Provide weekly/monthly progress reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
