Job summary

Egis is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to join our Dubai team. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and optimising construction schedules to ensure on-time project delivery and efficient resource use.

You will work closely with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors, applying Primavera P6 and MS Project to monitor progress, identify risks, and drive recovery plans while ensuring compliance with local codes in Dubai.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 15+ years of site-based construction planning experience.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• AutoCAD or similar CAD software knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction abilities.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred.
• Willingness to work on-site in Dubai.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Analyse timelines, resources, and dependencies to identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress and report variances between planned and actual.
• Prepare periodic progress reports for stakeholders.
• Conduct resource analysis and optimise manpower and equipment.
• Develop recovery plans when projects fall behind.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai building codes.
• Participate in project meetings and document revisions.
• Maintain records of planning documents.
