Job summary

Wood is seeking a Piping Supervisor in Abu Dhabi to lead fabrication shop activities, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and project procedures. You will supervise welding, fit-up, and assembly, coordinate with engineering and QA/QC, and drive on-time delivery with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

The role requires 10+ years in piping fabrication, including 5+ years in supervision, and hands-on experience with isometrics, P&IDs, and international codes (ASME/API).

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in piping fabrication with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience on ADNOC projects or similar Middle East oil & gas EPC/EPCM projects.
• Strong knowledge of piping fabrication processes, welding techniques, NDT requirements, and international codes (ASME, API).
• Ability to read and interpret piping isometrics, GA drawings, and P&IDs.
• Excellent coordination and safety mindset with focus on schedule adherence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day piping fabrication activities in the fabrication shop.
• Ensure works align with approved drawings (isometrics), WPS, ITPs, and ADNOC specs.
• Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, and planning for smooth workflow.
• Monitor productivity and optimize manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Ensure availability of materials, tools and consumables to avoid delays.
• Enforce ADNOC safety standards and maintain safe fabrication environment.
• Review fabrication drawings for constructability and issue resolutions.
• Coordinate with QA/QC inspectors for inspections and acceptance.
• Track progress and report status to Project Management.
• Maintain records of fabrication activities, weld maps and reports.
