Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduate with a diploma in Mechanical Design, or Drafting in a related discipline or equivalent experience
• 10 years min with major contractor or consultant; 4+ years in oil and gas Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design
• Detailed knowledge of 3D CAD systems including E3D or SP3D
• Minimum 1–2 projects working experience in E3D and/or S3D
• Detailed knowledge of AutoCAD
• Familiar with local regulatory environment and international/national standards
• Understanding of process equipment maintenance and operation
• Auto Lisp programming and 3D model creation would be an advantage

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D Models and ensure clash-free model coordination with other disciplines
• Perform design and engineering processes within specified time, considering safety and quality
• Work within defined processes and help determine the approach for new assignments
• Lead design tasks and coordinate with Project Team, Client, and vendors
• Forecast and plan resources as Lead Designer or Area Lead
• Coordinate 3D Model Reviews and ensure comments are closed
• Develop Plant Design and 3D Modelling, and input Plant Layout Narrative
• Attend kickoff and vendor meetings as lead Piping Designer
• Monitor and coordinate the design team remotely in MOPEX environment
• Identify changes and raise change notifications in the Change Management System
• Provide mentoring and support to less experienced colleagues
• Ensure compliance with McDermott and project standards and safety policies
