Job summary

leading-edge is seeking an experienced Penetration Tester to simulate cyber attacks, test defenses, and identify vulnerabilities across systems and networks. You will perform tests on networks and web apps, analyze results, and recommend remediation.

You will collaborate with developers to apply secure coding practices, stay current with threat landscapes, and contribute to incident response and threat hunting activities. A strong testing toolkit and relevant certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in penetration testing or related field.
• Proven experience with penetration testing tools and methodologies such as Nmap, Metasploit, and Burp Suite.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems and web applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and reporting skills.
• Industry-recognized certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or GPEN.

Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on computer systems, networks, and web applications.
• Identify and exploit vulnerabilities to simulate real-world attacks.
• Analyze and report on test results, including identified vulnerabilities and remediation steps.
• Develop and maintain understanding of threat landscapes and.attack vectors.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement secure coding practices and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Stay up-to-date with trends, threats, and technologies.
• Participate in incident response and threat hunting activities.
• Develop and maintain penetration testing tools and methodologies.
