Job summary

Allocation Assist, on behalf of a leading tertiary-care hospital in Abu Dhabi, seeks an experienced Consultant Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician to join its Pediatric Emergency Department.

The successful candidate will provide expert pediatric emergency care, lead resuscitation and clinical governance, mentor staff, and contribute to teaching and research while advancing patient- and family‑centered care.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD/MBBS) from a recognized institution.
• Board Certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics with PEM fellowship, or Emergency Medicine with pediatric specialization.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency assessment and management for pediatric patients.
• Lead pediatric resuscitation efforts including advanced airway management and vascular access.
• Perform emergency procedures such as lumbar puncture, fracture reduction, wound repair, and procedural sedation.
• Coordinate care with pediatric subspecialists, surgeons, intensivists, and other ED physicians.
• Develop and update clinical pathways, guidelines, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff; participate in teaching and research.
