Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Significant experience in patch management, systems administration, or deployment validation.
• Strong understanding of Windows, Linux patching processes and enterprise patching workflows.
• Experience with patch management platforms (SCCM, Intune, WSUS, Ivanti, ManageEngine).
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for validation and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead validation of OS, application, firmware, and infrastructure patches before and after deployment.
• Review patch notes, security advisories, and vendor docs to assess deployment requirements.
• Verify patch authenticity, integrity, compatibility, and applicability.
• Develop standardized patch validation procedures, test cases, and rollback criteria.
• Coordinate validation schedules with IT operations, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams.
• Monitor deployment progress and ensure compliance with patch management standards.
• Create automated validation scripts and reporting workflows to improve efficiency.
• Maintain patch validation records and test evidence.
