Job summary

Larsen & Toubro Limited in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Maintenance Lead to oversee timely maintenance and repairs of heavy equipment, aiming to maximize uptime for user departments while controlling costs.

You will manage daily checks, plan preventive maintenance, coordinate with planning teams, ensure availability of spares, and monitor repair quality—driving reliability on large-scale construction and EPC projects in renewables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• At least 5 years of plant and machinery management experience, including 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience in large-scale construction or EPC projects; renewables preferred.
• Strong knowledge of heavy machinery, fleet management, and maintenance best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Daily checks on operating parameters before deployment.
• Check hour meters, safety indicators, gauges, and battery condition.
• Plan and carry out periodical maintenance as per schedule and site conditions.
• Monitor maintenance tasks to ensure timely execution.
• Ensure spare parts and consumables stock levels to avoid downtime.
• Coordinate with P&M in-charge / Planning Engineer to minimize disruption.
• Inform P&M In-charge of items likely to fail to plan spares and repairs.
• Monitor equipment health after repairs by tracking operating parameters.
• Repairs planning and execution with priority, ensuring repair quality.
• Oversee external repairs, diagnose defects and take corrective action.
• Highlight defects due to faulty design/material and inform P&M In-charge / HQ.
• Pre-dispatch inspection repairs and use genuine spares.
• Inspect equipment from other sites and report deficiencies promptly.
• Maintain proper housekeeping of repair area.
