Job summary

RiDiK, a subsidiary of CLPS, is seeking a Senior Database Developer in Dubai to design, build, and maintain enterprise database and data warehouse solutions. You will optimize SQL queries, develop ETL/ELT processes, and ensure data quality across high-volume environments.

You will automate data pipelines with Python/PySpark, collaborate with BI teams, and mentor junior developers while supporting production systems on a 24/7 basis in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on database development experience, including at least 5 years in Oracle SQL/PLSQL.
• Strong experience in Amazon Redshift, AWS data services (S3, Glue, EMR), Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT, and Data Modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Python/PySpark for data engineering, high-volume data processing, and automation.
• Experience with BI platforms such as Power BI, MicroStrategy, or Tableau.
• Experience working in Agile environments and using Git/version control.
• Airline/Aviation domain experience, particularly with PNR, booking, passenger, revenue, or flight data, is highly preferred.
• Prior experience mentoring junior developers or leading technical initiatives is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise database and data warehouse solutions.
• Develop and optimize stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, views, and complex SQL queries.
• Design data warehouse models and build ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from multiple sources while ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Perform performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and workload management for high-volume data environments.
• Automate database and data engineering processes using Python/PySpark.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, BI teams, data engineers, and application support teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Manage deployments across environments and conduct code reviews.
• Participate in 24/7 production support for production-critical applications, including incident management, troubleshooting, performance issue resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical initiatives and development best practices.
