Job summary

Penspen Abu Dhabi seeks an senior Operations Readiness & Assurance professional to bridge project delivery and operations across the full project lifecycle. You will define OR&A plans, align deliverables with operational needs, and guide readiness gates through FEED to Start-Up.

The role requires extensive PMC experience in Oil & Gas and a strong background in process safety, operability, and asset lifecycle management, with proficiency in HYSYS or Aspen Plus benefiting early project handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical / Process Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals, LNG, or similar. Minimum 5 years of experience in PMC Projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Operations Readiness & Assurance (OR&A) plans and strategies.
• Ensure alignment between project deliverables and operational requirements.
• Define and monitor readiness milestones and assurance gates.
• Participate in stage gate reviews (FEED, Detailed Design, Construction, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, Start-Up).
• Ensure designs meet operability, maintainability, and safety requirements.
• Identify process risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Support process optimization strategies prior to start-up.
• Design & Operability Reviews
• Participate In: HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA studies; constructability & operability workshops; 3D model reviews; ensure lessons learned; verify accessibility and maintainability of equipment; verification of docs and procedures.
