Job summary

PulseHire HR Middle East is sourcing a Consultant Ophthalmologist for UAE in an internationally accredited healthcare setting. The role emphasizes advanced clinical ophthalmology, eye surgery and subspecialty care for a diverse international patient population, with a team-based, quality-driven environment.

The ideal candidate will join a multidisciplinary team, perform comprehensive evaluations and lead subspecialty procedures while aligning with UAE licensing and credentialing requirements.

Qualifications

• Applications are welcome from internationally trained Consultant Ophthalmologist candidates with recognised qualifications.
• UAE licensing and facility credentialing eligibility is required.
• Strong subspecialty skills in cataract, glaucoma, retina, cornea or oculoplastics desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage medical and surgical eye conditions across outpatient and operative settings.
• Perform ophthalmic procedures according to subspecialty scope (cataract, glaucoma, retina, cornea, oculoplastics).
• Interpret ophthalmic imaging, visual fields, OCT and other diagnostic tests.
• Coordinate care with optometry and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain surgical safety, documentation and infection control standards.
