Job summary

Black Pearl Consult in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing - Oncology to provide clinical leadership across oncology nursing services within a world-class Cancer Center.

The role focuses on delivering high standards of patient care, nursing practice, staff development, quality, and operational efficiency across oncology services, with collaboration among physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Nursing; Master's degree preferred.
• 7–8 years of nursing experience with significant oncology experience.
• Experience in a Nursing Leadership / Assistant Nurse Manager / Nurse Manager / Clinical Leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of oncology nursing practices, patient safety, and clinical standards.
• Experience managing and developing nursing teams within a hospital or cancer-care setting.
• Experience in chemotherapy, infusion, hematology, or other specialized oncology services is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in quality improvement, clinical governance, and evidence-based practice.
• Strong communication, leadership, mentoring, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Experience within a major hospital, academic medical center, cancer center, or internationally accredited healthcare organization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing in the planning, implementation, and operational readiness of oncology nursing services.
• Lead, supervise, and develop oncology nursing teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Support the development and implementation of nursing policies, procedures, clinical pathways, and standards.
• Ensure compliance with clinical, regulatory, and patient safety requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated oncology care.
• Support staff education, competency development, mentoring, and professional growth.
• Monitor nursing quality indicators, patient outcomes, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the implementation of evidence-based oncology nursing practices.
• Support the development and improvement of chemotherapy, infusion, hematology, and other specialized oncology services.
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and patient-centered nursing culture.
• Assist with service development, workforce planning, and operational improvement initiatives.
