Job summary

Ghobash Group seeks a Lead Testing & Commissioning Engineer to lead comprehensive pre-commissioning, commissioning start-up, and performance testing for a major Oil & Gas project. The role requires multidisciplinary coordination across instrument air, electrical, ICSS, and offshore brownfield interfaces, ensuring safe and timely handover.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in testing commissioning and start-up leadership in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Proven ability to coordinate package OEMs, electrical vendors and operations teams.
• Strong knowledge of compressor packages, instrumentation control, and utility interfaces.
• Experience with offshore brownfield tie-ins, SIMOPS, and live facility start-up procedures.
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning Start-Up, and Performance Test plans.
• Lead commissioning of instrument air and plant air compressors, dryers, and related systems.
• Coordinate electrical testing, energization, and verification of protection and control systems.
• Lead ICSS integration testing, FAT/SAT, and end-to-end functional tests.
• Manage documentation completion, handover, and punch-list closure.
• Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting and safe recovery during tests and start-up.
