Job summary

Penspen is urgently seeking a Lead Construction Engineer- Mechanical to oversee offshore oil & gas construction activities in Abu Dhabi. The role demands leadership on site, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and strict adherence to HSE and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 15–18+ years in Oil & Gas Construction with at least 5 years in a lead role.
• 5+ years offshore experience mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of offshore process and utility systems.
• Familiarity with international standards.
• PMC and EPC Offshore projects experience preferred.
• ADNOC project experience in similar role is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise offshore mechanical construction activities.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and offshore teams for efficient execution.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors to ensure safety and on-time delivery within budget.
• Review construction procedures, method statements, work packs, and mechanical completion docs.
• Monitor progress, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and offshore regulations.
• Support pre-commissioning, commissioning and handover activities.
• Prepare construction reports and provide progress updates to management.
