Job summary

Penspen Ltd. is seeking a Lead Commissioning Engineer (Mechanical) for an offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and extensive offshore commissioning experience, leading pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover activities.

The candidate will supervise multi-system commissioning (HVDC, Piping, Mechanical, ESD, DCS) and coordinate with procurement and construction to ensure readiness and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Supervising pre-commissioning and commissioning for PSA, RTU, DCS, FGS, ESD, and vendor documents review, logic checks, cause & effect checks.
• Provide technical advice during prequalification and tender evaluation phases to ensure contractor/supplier technical adequacy.
• Coordinate engineering deliverables and activities as interface with procurement and construction teams.
• Oversee commissioning for HVDC systems, including converter stations and offshore/onshore platforms, piping and mechanical systems.
