Job summary

Penspen is urgently seeking a Lead Commissioning Engineer (E&I) for an offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role requires leading E&I pre-commissioning through handover, with strong leadership to coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure safe, compliant execution.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Engineering and 15+ years of experience, including 5–8+ years offshore, with proven E&I commissioning, start-up and handover experience in oil

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, Electronics Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience, with at least 5–8+ years offshore project experience.
• Proven experience in E&I commissioning, start-up and handover within oil & gas offshore projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Electrical and Instrumentation pre-commissioning, commissioning, energization, testing, functional checks, system integration, startup support and handover for offshore facilities.
• Provide technical leadership from commissioning preparation through safe energization, loop checking, functional testing and handover to Operations.
• Ensure E&I systems are commissioned per approved documents, procedures, specs, vendor requirements and HSE standards.
• Lead commissioning activities from system completion through start-up and handover.
• Develop commissioning execution plans, priorities and work sequences.
