Job summary

A leading engineering service provider in Dubai is seeking a Structural Engineer with at least 10 years' experience in oil and gas structural design. Responsibilities include preparing engineering drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and coordinating with other disciplines. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Civil or Structural engineering and expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD. Roles and Responsibilities :

• Preparation of structural engineering drawings using software such as AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ensure all drawings comply to relevant industry codes, standards, and Company specifications.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for interface requirements and review of IDC drawings from other disciplines.
• Support the engineering team in developing associated interface drawings.
• Preparation of material take-offs (MTOs) from the design drawings.
• Potentially visit project sites to conduct surveys.
• Perform self-checks and reviews of drawings for accuracy, completeness, and clarity prior to formal submission.
• Manage and update drawing files, documentation, and project data within the company's document management system.

Experience Profile :

• Minimum 10 (ten) years of relevant experience in oil and gas structural design and drafting.
• Well conversant with engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge in Structural design and drafting in all types of Structural design activities including but not limited to the following :
• Internal and External Slot Additions
• Deck Extensions
• Access Platforms
• Risers, J-Tubes & Clamps
• Pipe Support Systems
• Lifting Arrangements
• Jacket and Topsides
• Constructability Awareness in Structural Design

Educational Qualifications :

• Diploma in Civil or Structural
• 10 years' experience in Oil and Gas structural design and drafting
• Hands on experience in AutoCAD & AutoCAD 3D

Competencies / Skills / Others :

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to overcome complex design challenges.
• Good English communication skills.
• Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD 3D is typically mandatory.
• Experience with Navis Works.
• Excellent in using MS Office Applications.
