Job summary

Confidential in Abu Dhabi region is seeking a Senior Officer - Property and Financial Lines claims to handle day-to-day commercial lines claims settlement and ensure data accuracy in the system. You will prepare periodical claims statistics and adhere to company policies and quality standards.

Responsibilities include registering claims, reviewing policy coverage, identifying valid/invalid claims, arranging loss adjusters with approvals, and preparing reserves and statistics for management.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review policy copies to confirm coverage details.
• Identify valid vs invalid claims during scrutiny and register claims accordingly.
• Escalate invalid claims to supervisor for action.
• Arrange loss adjusters with supervisor approval.
• Prepare reserve update sheets and update reserves in the system.
• Prepare reserve and status updates to facultative reinsurers.
• Generate claims statistics for underwriting and MIS.
• Create payment trackers after issuance of claim credit notes.
• Complete data entry for claims settlements and submit for approval.
• Organize daily reported claims bordereau and transfer closed files.

Job Title:

Senior Officer - Property and Financial Lines claims

Job Purpose:

To handle day to day commercial lines claims settlement process, ensure quality of data input into the computer system, word processing documents and preparation of periodical Claims Statistics whilst ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures and set company quality standards, and guidelines.

Operational Responsibility

Claims Processing Activities:

• Receives claims from the relevant parties.
• Review Policy copy for new claims and checks the pertinent policy coverage details.
• Identifying valid and invalid claims during the course of scrutiny as above. After the same is completed, to provide for registration of the claims under the Policy to Pool.
• To bring to the notice of Supervisor/ Assistant Manager/ Manager the invalid claims falling in the excluded category and identified by them during assessing for appropriate action/ rejection.
• Appointment of Loss Adjusters after discussing with Supervisor/Assistant Manager/ Manager and subsequent approval from EVP- Claims
• Prepares reserve update sheets when required for necessary revision of reserves in the system and submits file for approval as per procedure.
• Prepares reserve and status updates to Facultative Reinsurers.
• Prepares Claims Statistics for the U/W Departments / Management Information System, as and when required under guidance from Line Manager/Supervisor.
• Prepare payment trackers to Finance after issuance of Claim Credit Notes.
• Complete data entry for Claims Settlement Credit / Debit and submit to Supervisor for approval.
• Organizes Daily Reported Claims bordereau for the Dept.
• Organizes periodic transfer of closed files to the store.
• Assist Supervisor/Assistant Manager/Manager to prepare high-level statistics for the management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field

YEARS & NATURE OF EXPERIENCE: 2-4 years of experience (subject to currently occupying Senior Officer role or Officer role).

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Full Professional Proficiency in English. Arabic language proficiency is an advantage
