Job summary

flydubai seeks an experienced Flight Data Monitoring specialist to identify and mitigate hazards through collection, processing, and analysis of aircraft operational data. The role emphasizes monitoring data, maintaining the FDM system, and producing trend analyses to support safety improvements.

Responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders, preparing SRB/SAG inputs, and acting as the system administrator for FDM and SMS applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an aviation-related discipline.
• Fluent in English; other languages are an advantage.
• Flight Data Monitoring experience essential.
• Knowledge of GE FDM system.

Responsibilities

• Monitor flight data to identify non-compliance with flydubai requirements, standards and procedures.
• Ensure effective operation of the FDM system by coordinating with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Generate timely FDM trend analysis reports and co-author the FDM safety newsletters to support safety awareness and operational improvement.
• Analyze flight data to identify gaps or issues, and share findings with stakeholders for review and resolution.
• Recommend processes or policy improvements to optimise FDM reporting and analytics.
• Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure that the FDM are resolved efficiently and rollout updates.
• Participate in flight replay and briefings for flight crew on FDM events and provide guidance on issues discovered.
• Support safety investigations by providing relevant Flight data summaries highlighting key events, trends, and parameters.
• Collate safety performance data and prepare drafts for SRB and SAG meetings.
• Act as the system administrator for FDM and SMS applications, ensuring user access and data integrity.

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To assist in identification and mitigation of underlying hazards and risks through the collection, processing, analysis and archival of aircraft operational data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitors flight data to identify instances where flight operations are not in accordance with all applicable flydubai requirements, standards and procedures.
• Ensures the effective operation of the Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) system by coordinating with relevant stakeholders to resolve system issues.
• Generates timely FDM trend analysis reports and co-authors the FDM safety newsletters to support safety awareness and operational improvement.
• Analyses flight data to identify, filter, and distribute any gaps or issues, and shares relevant findings with stakeholders for review and resolution.
• Recommends processes or policy improvements to optimise FDM reporting and analytics.
• Coordinates with internal and external parties to ensure that the FDM are resolved efficiently and works with them to develop and rollout any updates.
• Participates in flight replay and brief for flight crew on FDM related events and provides guidance and recommendations on any issues discovered.
• Supports safety investigations by providing any relevant Flight data summaries, highlighting key events, trends, and parameters for review.
• Collates safety performance data and prepares a draft for review at Safet Review Board (SRB) and Safety Action Group (SAG) meetings.
• Acts as the system administrator for assigned safety applications including but not limited to the FDM and Safety Management System (SMS) , ensuring user access, system records, and data are maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)
• Bachelor’s degree in an aviation-related discipline
• Fluent in English (other languages an advantage)
• Flight Data Monitoring experience.
• Knowledge of GE FDM system.
• Years with qualifications: 5 - 7 years, Years without qualifications (if applicable): 7 - 9 years

ISR REQUIREMENTS

Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
