Job summary

Stantec in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Operations & Maintenance Specialist to support TAQA Water Solutions projects across wastewater, sewerage, pumping stations, and related infrastructure. You will provide technical input throughout design, construction, commissioning and handover.

The role emphasizes integrating O&M requirements into project delivery to improve asset reliability, maintainability, and compliance with TAQA-WS standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, process or related engineering.
• Master's degree or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
• 10–15 years of experience in operations, maintenance, asset management, commissioning, or engineering of utility infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in wastewater networks, sewerage systems, pumping stations, treatment plants, or water infrastructure projects.
• Previous experience with TAQA Water Solutions (TAQA-WS), ADDC, ADSSC, or similar utility operators in the UAE is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting handover, commissioning, and operational readiness for large infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of wastewater and sewerage systems.
• Understanding of asset lifecycle management and maintenance planning.
• Experience reviewing O&M manuals, commissioning records, and handover documentation.
• Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles.
• Familiarity with CMMS and asset management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise during design, construction, commissioning, handover and operational phases.
• Ensure that operational and maintenance requirements are fully integrated into project delivery, facilitating asset performance and reliability.
• Support maintainability, compliance with TAQA-WS standards and risk management.
• Review O&M manuals, commissioning records and handover documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Abu Dhabi projects.
